Overview
We are seeking a physical therapist who is interested in treating vestibular and multifactorial concussion patients, who may have orthopedic and spine impairments. As we continue to grow in the Twin Cities area, we are in search of a therapist who values their work environment, wants to be part of a truly cohesive team, and wants opportunity to grow in their career!
NDBC believes in being the best at treating vestibular disorders. We take all new hires through a month long training program to ensure their skills are equal to those who have been working for us for years. The NDBC rehab team continues to advance their knowledge with attendance at national conferences and additional monies for the APTA Vestibular Competency Course at Emory University. Therapists at NDBC have presented research and have been invited to be speakers at the physical therapy combined sections meeting.
National Dizzy and Balance Center is a unique outpatient clinic system serving not only the Twin Cities, but the entire state of MN and US. We currently utilize physicians, physician assistants, audiologists, physical therapists and occupational therapists within each of our four Twin Cities clinic locations to offer a true multidisciplinary approach to vestibular disorders, concussions, and orthopedic injuries. We are in business to improve our patients’ quality of life, not just provide a medical service. This commitment to excellence, and the development of patient relationships, is what will make NDBC the standard for comparison in this field.
Our physical therapists work with our medical doctors, occupational therapists and audiologists in evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders. After a comprehensive workup that includes state of the art diagnostic testing, computerized dynamic posturography, and evidence based evaluations, the PT will implement treatment to return patients to a dizzy or injury free life. We see a wide range of vestibular diagnosis including concussions, hypofunctions, vestibular migraines, and much more.
Qualifications
Experience in a vestibular setting is preferred, but even if you don’t have prior experience with vestibular patients, we are dedicated to providing our employees the training and mentorship that they need to become expert clinicians in treating dizziness and balance disorders. New grads are even encouraged to apply.
Due to the multifactorial nature of many of our concussion patients, orthopedic experience, particularly in treating spine, is preferred but not required.
Licensed as a Physical Therapist and eligible to practice in Minnesota is required. Licenses in additional state are a plus.
