Going out to eat is an enjoyable way to socialize and try some new foods. When you are dizzy, however, being in loud, busy environments can be overwhelming and sometimes increase dizziness.
Tips for going out to eat:
-Minimize the amount of activity you do before/after.
-Try going at off times to avoid an overly busy environment.
-Choose a quieter restaurant and one with less visual stimulation.
-Keep group size small.
-Choose a seat where you can face the people you are talking to so that you can limit head movements.
-Choose a non-alcoholic beverage, as alcohol can further affect dizziness and balance.
