Everyone knows they need to protect their hearing, but did you know that there are four common types of hearing protection?
Foam Earplugs– This is a non-custom solution to protecting your hearing. Foam plugs are disposable and one-size-fits-most. They are inexpensive and can be purchased at your local drug store. These are usually worn once or twice before they need to be replaced.
Ear Muffs– This is a non-custom solution to protecting your hearing. Ear Muffs are reusable and easy to place properly over your ears. They can be purchased at home improvement stores or on the internet.
Custom Earplugs – This is a custom solution to protecting your hearing. An earmold impression will be taken of your unique ear and shipped to the manufacturer to make your custom fit hearing protection. They last for several years, can be used in a variety of noisy situations, and come in a fun variety of colors.
Electronic Hearing Protection– This is a custom solution to protecting your hearing. Electronic protection offers high definition sound enhancement and automatic noise suppression. This custom solution is ideal for people who are around impulse noises, like guns, while hunting.
